Meet the founders of

Advaita Natural Wellness

Kate Alsop, ND, MS

My personal health journey started me on the road to becoming a Naturopathic Doctor. Growing up I was always the sick kid: skinny, slow, and always complaining about something. As I got older things only got worse. I had constant joint pain, no energy, constant nausea, and excruciating pain with every period. Fainting even became a semi-regular occurrence.

I went to specialist after specialist who ran test after test, tried drug after drug and still felt miserable.

Once I found naturopathic medicine, everything fell into place. I was diagnosed with Celiac disease, Hashimoto’s thyroiditis, and Endometriosis within a span of a few years. I completely changed my diet, tackled my hormones with botanical medicine and finally started to feel human again.

Despite my good efforts, in the Spring of 2017 I was diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer. I was the healthiest I had ever been in my life, and I still had cancer. This was incredibly frustrating to come to terms with, but given my personal history (and the fact that now 3 of 4 members of my immediate family have had cancer), I couldn’t act surprised. I knew I needed to take control, again.

After 2 surgeries, another diet overhaul and the addition of cancer-fighting botanicals and nutrients into my everyday routine, I can gratefully say that I am currently cancer free!

My clients and I all have a genetic makeup and a past that we cannot change. This has thrown us into a fight for our health. My mission is to help my clients win this fight by handing them the right tools, teaching them how to use them and staying by their side every step of the way.

Patricia Pearce, ND

Hi, my name is Trish Pearce and I’m a naturopathic doctor with a passion for teaching my clients to take control of their chronic symptoms and live their healthiest life.

When I was a freshman in college, I started experiencing debilitating anxiety, fatigue, digestive issues, and painful periods. Despite visiting countless conventional doctors who ran thousands of dollars worth of tests, no one seemed to have answers for me. By the time I was a senior, I was so run down that I was falling asleep in class and drinking gallons of coffee just to get through the day.

That’s when I found naturopathic medicine.

My doctor took a thorough history and discovered the root cause of my issues, including food sensitivities, leaky gut, hormonal imbalances, and more. I followed his recommendations and was blown away. My energy came back, my anxiety improved, my periods normalized, and best of all, my entire outlook on health changed. In fact, I was so humbled by my experience that I changed my entire career path and decided to become a naturopathic doctor instead of a veterinarian!

Now I have the honor of working with people who are just starting down their path toward optimal wellness. I believe hope and determination are the greatest healers of all.

HISTORY & MISSION

Advaita Natural Wellness, LLC was founded in 2016 by Kathrine Alsop, ND, MS and Patricia Pearce, ND. Our mission is to empower our clients to reclaim their health through education and provision of resources. We vow never to view a symptom in isolation from the whole and always attend to the person, not the disease. We utilize naturopathic principles to identify causative factors of disease and correct these imbalances, allowing the body to heal itself.
